Curriculum Committee


The Purpose of the Curriculum Committee

The Curriculum Committee shall be concerned with the study, development, and improvement of the curriculum, educational programs, and academic policy at the university, shall cooperate with other individuals, groups, or committees at the university in carrying out its duties. The committee shall review and recommend changes to academic policy (section five of the CWU Policies manual, Curriculum Policy and Procedure). It shall perform other duties as may be requested by or approved by the Senate Executive Committee.

Curriculum Proposal Deadlines for 2027-2028 Catalog

Committee Charges

FSCC25-26.01 - Research current best practices for High-flex classes. Develop and recommend policy language that defines and outlines high-flex modality based on this research.

FSCC25-26.02 - Continue developing a standard procedure for conducting FSCC orientation workshop and for on-boarding new members who join the committee mid-year.

FSCC25-26.03 - Review and approve curriculum proposals.

FSCC25-26.04 - Brainstorm/suggest ways that the curriculum approval process could be refined and streamlined.

FSCC25-26.05 - Continue rearranging CWUP 5-50 and CWUR 2-50 (now CWU 501) from alphabetical to progressive order of importance and hierarchy as policy and procedure is revised.
