Founded in Mexico City in 1940, the Universidad de las Américas (UDLAP) has grown into a prestigious private institution with over 70 undergraduate and graduate academic programs, accredited by the US-based Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Since the 1960's, UDLAP has been located just outside of San Andrés Cholula (Click for Map), one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the Americas (and for which the hot sauce is named), approximately two hours' drive from Mexico City and 20 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage City of Puebla. UDLAP's beautiful 120-acre campus hosts over 9000 students, including international students from more than 40 countries.

The university offers 72 academic programs in a variety fields, including art, natural sciences, engineering and social sciences. UDLAP's AACSB-accredited School Business and Economics includes progams in Banking and Investments, Business Administration, Marketing, Financial Strategies and Public Accounting, and International Business Administration, as well as Economics and Hotel and Restaurant Administration. Both Spanish-taught and English-taught classes are offered in most disciplines. Students may also concentrate on studying Spanish language and Mexican culture.
