Annual Available Placements: 1 student for 2 semesters or equivalent.

Takushoku University was founded in 1900 as the Taiwan Association School, with the intention of producing graduates to assist in the administration and development of Taiwan, then a Japanese colony. Its current name was adopted in 1918. Today, the university is comprised of five faculties: Commerce, Political Science and Economics, Foreign Languages, International Studies, and Engineering. Takushoku University is also well-known for its karate club, which was founded in 1924 and has produced a number of prominent instructors and athletes. CWU students will study at TU's Hachioji campus, on the western edge of the greater Tokyo metropolitan area.

The exchange with Takushoku University is limited to advanced students of Japanese, those who have achieved the equivalent of an N3 level on the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at the time of application.
