Letter from the CWU Alumni Association November 2022

Happy November, Wildcats!

As we reflect on last month, we want to thank everybody who came back to campus and made 2022 Homecoming one to remember. From Wellington’s Wildfire to the Homecoming football game, and everything between, we are so grateful to have such an incredible Wildcat Nation that came back together and celebrated all things CWU.

As we look to the future, we are excited to see you at the upcoming events we have planned. First up is our final home football game, which is also Senior Night, on November 12. Join us for the pre-game tailgate and rally outside of the Wade gate at 11:00 a.m. before the game to show your Wildcat spirit and mingle with fellow alumni and students. Get your game tickets and learn more by visiting our upcoming events page.

Back by popular demand, we are hosting our next AlumNight in Yakima on November 17! This event will feature Wine Tasting 101 with Sommelier Kristine Miller, who works in the CWU Global Wine Studies program. While there, enjoy food, wine, and company at our university center with your fellow Yakima Wildcats. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and attendance is free, RSVP today!

Though it is early in the academic year, current students are in need of support to make their dreams of participating in commencement a reality, and you can help! The Cap and Gown Fund raises support for graduates that may not otherwise be able to afford their cap and gown for commencement. Your gift of $100 will provide a student with their cap and gown and an annual membership to the CWU Alumni Association. Offer your support today by visiting the alumni scholarships page, and leave a personal message for your student recipient by emailing alumni@cwu.edu after you've made your donation.

We want to wish you a happy (early) Thanksgiving and let you know how grateful we are for each member of the Wildcat family. Go Cats!
