Letter from the CWU Alumni Association April 2022
Happy spring, Wildcats! We have many events planned for you this season, and we hope to see you at many or all of them.
Join us for the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony and reception on Friday, May 13. This year it will take place at the Alumni Plaza inside Tomlinson Stadium with music, appetizers, beverages, and, of course, the recognition of several outstanding Wildcats. This event is free, but you must RSVP by visiting our upcoming events page.
The CWU Alumni Association Wine Club is getting ready for spring shipments! All wines are hand-selected for the Wildcat family by a fellow Wildcat, and with four different shipment options, we are sure there is a membership that will fit your taste. Join the CWU Wine Club today to get award-winning wine delivered to your doorstep, but hurry, the deadline to sign up for the spring shipment is May 22.
Calling all upcoming graduates! You can get a lifetime membership to the alumni association for half price, but only for a limited time. You can also give the gift of a CWU Alumni Association membership to the special Wildcats in your life by clicking here. Hurry, this offer is only available to 2022 graduates for a limited time!
Upcoming graduates are also welcome to join us for the 2022 Graduation Celebration! Join us as we welcome the next generation of Wildcats into the alumni family on May 12. Celebrate this major achievement while enjoying a live band, appetizers, and beverages on the Alumni Plaza in Tomlinson Stadium. The event is free for graduating students and the staff and faculty who supported them on their journey, but you must RSVP to attend. Registration for this event is coming soon.
Alumni, current students, and anyone who is a Wildcat fan can shop for all things CWU when the Wildcat Shop’s mobile store, the Rawr-Vee, goes to the westside later this month! The Rawr-Vee will be in Des Moines on Wednesday, April 20, from 1-7:00 p.m. and in Lynnwood on Thursday, April 21, from 1-7:00 p.m. Pay them a visit and represent CWU with some new Wildcat gear!
CWU Night with the Mariners is this month! Grab your friends and join us as the Mariners take on the Royals on April 22, with pre-game festivities including games, music from 88.1 The 'Burg, and pictures with Wellington. Purchase your tickets through this special ticket link, which also includes the opportunity to get a Mariners and CWU co-branded hat, while supplies last. We hope to see you there!
We are gearing up for #GiveCentral 2022, which kicks off April 28 at noon and lasts until April 39 at noon. During this 24-hour day of giving, we are asking the Wildcat family to come together to put Central students first by ensuring they have the resources they need to continue their education. Mark your calendars or make a gift early by visiting the #GiveCentral site. Also, be sure to share with your networks via social media at the bottom of the webpage so that we can reach as many alumni, parents, fans, friends, faculty, and staff as possible.
