Letter from the CWU Alumni Association May 2022
Happy May, Wildcats!
What a great start to spring we have had with over 1,000 Wildcats joining us at T-Mobile Park last month for CWU Night with the Mariners. We had a fantastic time at the alumni pregame with many of you and enjoyed watching President Wohlpart’s first pitch, listening to Melany Peterson sing the national anthem, and cheering the Mariners on to victory! We are already excited for the game next year and hope to see you all back in Seattle for it!
Next Friday, May 13 is the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Awards. The event has had a location change and will now be held in the SURC Ballroom. Join us to celebrate while enjoying music, appetizers, beverages, and, of course, the recognition of several outstanding Wildcats. This event is free, but you must RSVP by visiting our upcoming events page.
Now that it is May, we are eager to welcome the class of 2022 into the alumni family next month. To celebrate their accomplishments, we are hosting the 2022 Graduation Celebration on May 12 for all upcoming graduates, faculty, and staff. While there, enjoy a live band, appetizers, and beverages. The event is free, but you must RSVP to attend.
A terrific way for this new generation of Wildcat alumni to stay engaged with CWU after graduation is to join the alumni association. Upcoming graduates can get a lifetime membership for half price, but only for a limited time. Give the gift of a CWU Alumni Association membership to the special Wildcats in your life, or purchase one for yourself. But hurry, this offer is only good for 2022 graduates for a limited time.
The deadline to join the CWU Alumni Association Wine Club and receive the spring shipment is also upon us on May 22. All wines are hand-selected for the Wildcat family by Central alumna and winemaker Heather Neff, and a portion of wine club proceeds support the alumni association’s mission to build a passionate Wildcat nation. Join the CWU Wine Club today to get award-winning wine delivered to your doorstep, but hurry, the deadline is approaching.
With CWU’s annual day of giving, #GiveCentral, wrapping up at the end of last week, we want to thank each of you that gave to support the success of current and future Wildcats. We can always count on our alumni to offer their support, and we really appreciate it.
