The following is a list of resources located on campus or in the Ellensburg community. You can also find a comprehensive list of community resources on the Kittitas County Resource Guide. Academic
Academic Advising - Advising services at CWU are provided based on your major program. Each major is part of an academic college, and each college has a team of academic advisors that serves students. Disability Services – Disability Services is available to provide support and accommodations for students with a medical, physical, or mental health disabling condition. They can provide temporary or long-term accommodations while at CWU. Learning Commons - The learning commons is an academic resource that includes: Individual tutoring, Peer Mentoring, Peer Assisted Learning, and more. More information about the Learning Commons can be found here: https://www.cwu.edu/academics/academic-resources/learning-commons/
Office of the Registrar - The Registrar office provides transcripts, enrollment verifications, and host events like Registration Ready and Graduation Ready. Their goal is to provide students with the information, resources and tools they need to assist them in successfully beginning, continuing, or completing their academic journey. https://www.cwu.edu/about/offices/registrar/

Basic Needs & Financial
APOYO - APOYO is widely known for its service as a food pantry and clothing bank where everyone is welcome. APOYO provides healthy, culturally relevant food. More information about their program, food pantry hours, and how to contact them can be found at: https://apoyo-community.org/
Basic Needs Resource Coordination - CWU Basic Needs coordinators are available to identify immediate basic needs and connect students with supportive resources. Some areas they assist with are : Housing Assistance, Food Assistance, Technology, and Financial Resources. They can also provide guidance on SNAP assistance. Campus Housing - CWU Housing has both Residence Halls and On-Campus Apartments. Housing staff is available to answer any question/concerns for housing and/or to provide availability for on-campus living. https://www.cwu.edu/student-life/housing/
Cold Weather Shelter - Ellensburg offers Cold Weather Shelter from November through March. It is operated by Hopesource, more information can be found here: Ellensburg Cold Weather Shelter
Ellensburg United Methodist Church – Clothing Center - The Community Clothing Center allows those in need to get clothing with dignity and respect. We are open each week on Tuesday and Saturday from 9:00am-Noon More information on this center, including their contact information, can be found at: https://ellensburgumc.org/clothingcenter
Financial Aid – CWU Financial Aid counselors can work with students to help them determine what institutional, state, and federal aid is available to help them support their education. FISH Food Bank - The Fish Food Bank provides Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, and SNAP enrollment assistance for CWU and community members. More information can be found on their website at: https://kvfish.org/
HopeSource - HopeSource is a one stop shop for resources for Housing, transportation, energy assistance, and Veterans support. They have additional information on their website, including an application for services, at Https://www.hopesource.us
Washington State Department of Social and Health Services - DSHS provides a variety of services which include Housing and Food security, vocational rehabilitation, disability support, and Mental Health and Addiction services, to name a few. Wildcat Pantry - A free resource to all CWU students providing free food, essential clothing, and hygiene & household products. More information is available online: https://www.cwu.edu/student-life/wildcat-pantry/

Health and Wellness
Community Health of Central Washington- Ellensburg - Community Health of Central Washington provides evidenced-based medical practices. Some of the services include Dental, Pharmaceutical, Behavioral Health, and General Medical Practice. They also accept Medicare, Medicaid, Basic Health and most insurances. They offer a discounted fee for service based on sliding scale if you are without insurance. They can be reached by calling 509-962-1414. Comprehensive Healthcare - Comprehensive Healthcare provides evidenced-based therapeutic service and supports. They take state insurance along with Medicaid and Medicare. They are available Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, offer same day services, and can establish regular/ongoing services. They can be reached by calling 509-925-7507. Kittitas County Health Network - The Kittitas County Health Network is a non-profit with a mission to improve population health through cross-sector collaboration and systems integration. They provide care coordination in order to connect community members with the appropriate resources. In addition to connecting with appropriate resources, they also have events and a resource guide. Kittitas Valley Hospital - Kittitas Valley Hospital (KVH) services include pediatric care, primary care, urgent care, internal and adult medicine, orthopedics, surgical, and women’s health services. Our specialty services complement the work of the clinics and hospital, providing a comprehensive range of patient care. They can be contacted by calling 509-962-9841. Kittitas Valley Urgent Care - Kittitas Valley Urgent Care provides walk-in medical appointments for the community. Some of these services include support and evaluation for: Common Colds, Influenza, strep throat, pink eye, urinary tract infections, STDs, and Skin infections. They are available Monday through Friday from 8am-8pm and Saturday/Sunday from 9am-6pm. They are located at 702 E Mountain View Ave #1. MERIT Services - MERIT is a state-approved Behavioral Health and Recovery agency serving Kittitas County. The provide Substance Misuse treatment, assessments and support. They can be reached by calling 509-837-7700. Additional information can be found at: https://www.meritresources.org/
Office of Health Promotion - Offers education, awareness, and health promotion for CWU students using the Dimensions of Wellbeing framework. Services include: mental Health Education and Help Seeking Behaviors; Substance Misuse Prevention and Recovery Support; and Sexual Assault Response and Violence Prevention. Office of Health Promotion
Psychology Today - Psychology Today is a tool to identify counselors based on location and insurance. The counselors listed always have some sort of a biography so you can make an informed decision when selecting a individual clinician. This website/service can be utilized to help you find a counselor, no matter where you are located. Psychology Today
Student Counseling Services - A group of mental health counselors, psychologists, and doctoral/master's interns providing primary mental health care to the students of Central Washington University. Student Counseling Services
Student Health Services - Strives to provide accessible, affordable, quality healthcare to the student body so they can achieve optimal physical and mental health and continue towards their academic goals. Student Health Services
University Recreation - Whether you're a fitness enthusiast, a sports lover, or simply seeking ways to lead a balanced lifestyle, University Recreation supports your journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. University Recreation
Valley Psychological Services - Valley Psychological Services provides in person or telehealth therapeutic services. They also provide nutrition/dietician support as well as medication management. Valley Psychological Services takes most private insurances and also offer private pay. They can be reached by calling 509-968-5086. Valley Psychological Services

Student Employment – There are many ways that students can find employment opportunities on and around campus. There is a job posting board on campus which provides positions here on CWU’s campus. In addition, there is also the Wildcat Career Network, which is a free resource for students seeking off-campus jobs and internships. Worksource – Worksource is a partnership of state and local government agencies (including employment security), colleges and non-profit organizations that offer employment services for job seekers. Social Justice
Central Washington Justice for our Neighbors - Central Washington Justice for our Neighbors welcomes immigrants by providing free immigration legal services to low-income immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. CWJFON also engages in advocacy for immigrant justice, promotes pro-immigrant policy change, and offers education to the public. More information can be found at: https://www.cwjfon.org/
CLEAR Hotline - The CLEAR (Coordinated Legal Education, Advise and Referral) Hotline is a toll-free legal hotline for people with low incomes. The hotline can be reached by calling 1-888-201-1014.
Diversity and Equity Center - The Diversity and Equity Center (DEC) provides holistic student support, identity-based and cultural programs, and social justice workshops to cultivate a sense of belonging and community.
Helen House - Founded in 2019, Helen House gives power to, and validates, SOGIE youth and young adults ages 13 to 24, fostering self-exploration, self-expression, and self-acceptance. More information is available at: https://www.helen-house.org/
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project - Northwest Immigrant Rights Project promotes justice by defending and advancing the rights of immigrants through direct legal services, systemic advocacy, and community education. More information is available at: https://www.nwirp.org/

Central Washington Disability Resources - Central Washington Disability Resources advances the empowerment, inclusion, and wellness of all persons with disabilities through advocacy, community education, peer mentoring, and skill development so that they may realize independence and full participation in all areas of life. Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLICE) – SLICE encourages a sense of belonging, identity exploration, and promote positive social change within individual communities. There also provide campus activities, host Family Weekend, and are in charge of the Fall homecoming. Victim Advocacy
ASPEN - Abuse Support and Prevention Education Now (ASPEN) is dedicated to the elimination of abuse, sexual assault and all other forms of oppression through social change. Learn more at: https://comphc.org/locations/aspen-victim-advocacy-services-ellensburg-4th-street-center/
PATH - Provides confidential advocacy for students who have experienced sexual harassment, stalking, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, or sexual assault. PATH also provides support to CWU students who are friends, partners, and family members of someone who has experienced violence.
