Welcome to the Office of Case Management!
We're here to support you. Case Managers are your go-to problem solvers and path-clearers, ready to assist with any mental health, academic, personal, financial, relationship, or other stressful crises you might face.
Facing challenges? Whether it's academic hurdles or personal life struggles, our team is here to provide the extra support and guidance you need. When a crisis hits that's beyond your control, we're here to help lessen its impact on both your personal and academic life. Our Case Managers are well-versed in various institutional policies and understand the complexities of navigating them.
A network of support. To offer you the best possible assistance, we collaborate with partners across campus, including academic departments, University Housing, Student Counseling Services, Student Health Services, the Office of Health Promotions (OHP), CWU Police Department, Disability Services, the Title IX office, and many more. The Office of Case Management supports a wide range of common concerns and issues.
Let us help you. We provide resources, campus connections, information on university processes and procedures, and campus expertise. Our Case Managers empower students by helping them create a plan to successfully navigate their academic journey. The Office of Case Management is available to answer questions and take referrals from any faculty, staff, family, friend, or community member concerned about an individual's well-being. Learning Objectives
Students receiving Case Management services will:
- Have increased awareness of the various resources available to them as students in all areas of student life and within the surrounding community.
- Receive recommendations regarding academics and other aspects of CWU student living through support from Case Managers and through those supports that Case Managers connect them to for follow up assistance.
- Report improved sense of connectedness to the campus community.
- Increase understanding of student rights, responsibilities, opportunities and obstacles, regardless of locus of control in each of these areas.
- Receive support emphasizing safety, health and wellness, which can include revising original plans for educational pursuits and general quality of life expectations.
- Be supported to advocate for themselves in future processes, communication efforts, etc.
- Experience increased feelings of acceptance, optimism, connectedness, self-worth, hope and self-efficacy for future outcomes, within CWU’s higher education framework and for life in general.
