Meet the Case Management Team
CWU Case Management Purpose Statement
(Adapted from “The Advocate”, Memphis State University Conference, 1979)
In service of our students, staff & faculty of CWU:
- We are here to listen to our students,
- Not to work miracles.
- We are here to help our students discover what they feel,
- Not to make feelings go away.
- We are here to help our students identify their options,
- Not to make decisions for them.
- We are here to discuss steps our students can take,
- Not to take steps for them.
- We are here to empower our students to identify their own strengths,
- Not to rescue them and leave them vulnerable.
- We are here to help our students evaluate and make their own choices,
- Not to make it unnecessary for them to make difficult choices.
We are here for our students to provide support for change through engagement, empowerment and enhanced understanding of each student’s potential.
