Spring 2026 Residence Hall Transfer Day
On Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 7 AM to 2 PM, all residence hall students are invited to submit a request form for any type of room transfer, no questions asked, during Transfer Day. Transfer Days are offered on the 3rd Thursday of every quarter.
- Login to your MyHousing portal.
- Select "Room Selection," then "Request Room Change."
- Be as specific as possible in your request so that our staff can find the best options for you.
- Requests will be processed in the order they are received. No request forms will be accepted after 2 PM.
If your request is granted, you will receive an email sent to your CWU email account. The email will have the details of your new assignment, confirm your check-in time to your new hall, and detail the move-out process for your old hall. You will need to check out of your previous room by 8 PM on the Sunday after Transfer Day. If you do not check out on time, you will be charged for two spaces.
Waitlist
If the space you are requesting is unavailable, you will be put on a waitlist. The waitlist does expire at the end of the quarter. Please note that during high occupancy times transfers may not be possible due to space limitations.
