Family and Consumer Sciences
The Bachelor of Arts in Family and Consumer Sciences comprises a general introduction to the broad areas of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Paired with an appropriate minor, the FCS major can provide students with a well-rounded preparation for life, or for further advanced study. Many, although not all, of the courses are offered online, allowing you to earn your degree at your convenience while learning tangible skills about concrete subjects.
Family and Consumer Sciences Program Requirements
- Apply for FCS major (link form and instructions)
- Meet with a program adviser
- Declare a minor that compliments your career goals
- Complete all requirements of the FCS major and chosen minor to graduate
FCS Minor:
The Family and Consumer Sciences minor is comprised of courses selected by the student along with the consultation of a faculty advisor to meet the individual interests and professional goals of the student. This minor is designed to enhance the student’s major.
