Accessing your CWU Account

If you forget your CWU ID number, username or password, the Service Desk staff will get you back into your account. Call us at 509-963-2001 or stop by our desk in Samuelson Hall 1st floor.

If you know you ID number and have forgotten your password, you can get in right away by clicking on Recover an Account on the Wildcat Password webpage. This will send you an email link. If you find that the link does not work for you, please call the Service Desk and let us know.

CWU Wi-Fi for Computers, Mobile, Gaming, and TVs

Whether it is your phone or laptop, you can find out how to connect to CWU's Wi-Fi with these Knowledge Base instructions. If you run into difficulties, the Service Desk is here for you during our Monday - Friday office hours. Connecting to the CWU Wireless Network

Software Access, Labs, and Printing

Software Access

CWU provides students with licenses to certain software to assist you in your coursework. This includes your Office 365 account with Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and more (not all MS365 programs are licensed.) Use a browser and navigate to the Microsoft Office website and sign in with your CWU credentials (username not firstname.lastname). You will be able to download the MS365 programs directly onto your personal devices. Included in this Microsoft package is your CWU OneDrive for Business cloud storage.

You can request access to an Adobe account, Mathematica & SPSS. Details on all of these can be found on the Information Services Software website.

Campus Computer Labs, Virtual Labs, and WEPA Printer Kiosks

Central's Campus has several open Student Technology Fee Labs (on the Ellensburg and Lynnwood campuses) as well as department specific computer labs. Schedule and additional information for the Student Technology Fee labs can be found on the CWU Information Services Computer Labs webpage.

CWU also provides access to a Virtual Lab environment for all enrolled students. If you are enrolled, your CWU account will grant access to remote resources such as: individual applications and a Windows Lab Desktop. Some of your courses may require specific software that is only available with CWU licenses. Printing via Campus WEPA Kiosks

All enrolled CWU students receive a $15 per term credit for use on the Ellensburg, Lynnwood and Des Moines Campus WEPA Printer Stations. Type in Central Washington University on the WEPA Printer Station website to see a list and map of all the active printer locations.  WEPA Kiosks are like using an ATM Machine. You can send your print to the WEPA cloud and then retrieve and print it from any WEPA Kiosk within 6 days. You can also connect your flash drive directly to any WEPA kiosk to print. Canvas Access - for finding your classes, professor, and coursework

Canvas is your online coursework portal. The Service Desk can help if you are having issues logging in or accessing content.
