Board of Trustees


Trustees are appointed by the Washington State Governor and can serve for a maximum of two terms of six years each. The Central Washington University Board of Trustees functions as the governing body of the university and works closely with President Wohlpart. The Board is guided by Chair Jeff Hensler and Chair Elect Gladys Gillis.

Vision and Mission

Created to help guide and serve Central Washington University, the mission of the Board of Trustees remains focused on becoming a model learning community of equity and belonging. Promoting the vision of Central Washington University rests at the heart of the work of the board.

Upcoming Meeting Information

Regular meetings of the Central Washington University Board of Trustees will be held on the Central Washington University Ellensburg campus or via Zoom, except where noted, on the following dates: 

BOT Meetings 2026-2027:

  • October 22, 2026
  • February 18-19, 2027
  • May 20-21, 2027
  • July 15-16, 2027 (Annual Planning Retreat)
