ASCWU (Associated Students of Central Washington University) Six elected student officers work to represent all students equally and fairly and to ensure that their voices are heard. From facilities to academics, the ASCWU Student Government helps advocate for student concerns and creates programs to make the Central college experience more memorable. Each office has their own unique specialization representing the student body across campus.
Campus Activities Whether presenting comedy nights, lectures, movies, music and concerts or traditional events, such as Boo Central or Family Weekend, Campus Activities endeavors to present fresh entertainment and relevant programs that are developed by CWU students, for CWU students.
Information Center We’re here to help make your visit to Central Washington University an enjoyable one. You can find us on the first floor of the Student Union and Recreation Center, at the east end of the building. Just look for the big sign above our large service counter, directly across from Cat Trax East espresso and smoothie bar.
KCWU-FM is as an out-of-classroom learning laboratory utilizing a real-world broadcast environment to foster lifelong communication, public speaking, workplace accountability, teamwork, and leadership skills important for successful citizenship and success in any chosen career.
Dining options at CWU are numerous, offering both residential and a la carte dining at multiple venues.
OPR Outdoor Pursuits and Rentals program offers regularly scheduled guided excursions as well as providing outdoor equipment rentals and special programs. With a complete storefront and rental shop, students are offered a wide array of equipment to venture out on their own or join one of our scheduled trips.
The Publicity Center is located in the Student Union and Recreation Center at the heart of CWU's campus. As the go-to creative agency for promoting campus events, we take our work seriously and have fun doing it!
SLICE is Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement. SLICE provides CWU students with leadership, service and personal development opportunities throughout the year. These programs vary, from helping the community in which CWU resides to bringing in professionals from companies across the country. We develop partnerships on campus and in the community that promote student development, shared governance and overall commitment to our communities.
Student Union offers specialized event scheduling and resource management services. Our state of the art facility, centrally located on the beautiful CWU campus, provides an environment that is designed to encourage interaction among the campus groups, increase a sense of campus community, and expand the avenues through which the University educates its students. We are committed to providing high quality, convenient services and facilities that enhance the quality of daily life for our students, staff and community.
SURC and Club Accounting is responsible for financial oversight of S&A and SURC fee funds. Additionally, our office assigns and manages club accounts, providing services such as check requests, deposits and withdrawals for up to 140 club accounts. Our office maintains the Club Senate budget, attends Club Senate meetings and serves as liaison between student clubs, Campus Life and other university departments.
University Recreation is committed to offering recreation programs that provide personal and professional development for a diverse university community. Our nationally recognized facilities and services support the University's mission by promoting an inclusive campus environment. Our programs contribute to the wholeness and wellness of our patrons while providing co-curricular activities that complement other avenues of learning and aid individuals in achieving balance and well roundedness. Through excellent customer service and care for the individual, University Recreation seeks to provide a sense of belonging that enhances retention for students, faculty, and staff.
US Bank This branch office offers a full slate of financial services, from checking and savings accounts to credit/loan applications and processing. Additionally, US Bank offers the CWU Maxx Card, linked to students’ Connection Card for convenience.
The Wellness Center promotes positive health behaviors and encourages social connections that support student success. We use health promotion theory and campaigns, programming, individual assessments and consultation, along with peer-to-peer outreach to improve the health of individual students and our campus. We provide support and education for life outside the classroom so you can maximize your time at CWU and build skills for the future.
Wildcat Shop (bookstore) From textbooks and general book selection to apparel, electronics and supplies, the Wildcat Shop truly has something for everyone—including a custom publishing department. Local author book signings, special events and sales add to a vibrant atmosphere.
Campus Visits / Early College Outreach Join us at Central Washington University for an unforgettable in-person campus tour. Discover the opportunities that await you and envision yourself as a proud Wildcat. Tours and visits are also available for high school, middle school, and elementary school students.
Connection Card Your CWU Connection Card is your key to experiencing campus as a CWU student, faculty, or staff member. Connection Card services, such as printing your identification card, replacing a lost or damaged card, and adding money to Wildcat Bucks, are now being fulfilled from the SURC Info Center, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (summer hours).
