Intramurals and Sport Clubs

The CWU Intramural Sports program offers a variety of leagues, tournaments, challenges, and events each quarter. Intramural sports games are played between players and teams from within the University community, as opposed to external competitors. Intramural Sports does not provide intercollegiate competition or practice time.

The CWU Sport Club Program is designed to provide opportunities for CWU Students with mutual interests to pursue these interests more in depth. Over 500 students participate in 17 club sports and continue their athletic experience without the time demands of CWU Athletics. CWU recreation programs complement the academic and social experiences of students through the development of organizational skills, leadership qualities, and an appreciation for sportsmanship through intercollegiate athletics opportunities and community service.

Sport Clubs typically have try-outs and cost associated to participate. Teams usually practice 2-3 times a week and travel within the Pacific Northwest in their respective season.
