Climbing Wall


 Whether you are new to climbing or you have been doing it for years, the CWU Climbing Wall offers clinics and classes that will suit your needs.

Our program offers one- to two-day clinics focused on technical skills and movement technique for all experience levels, as well as quarter-long classes that can be taken for college credit. Explore rock climbing at CWU.

The University Recreation Climbing Wall

The wall stands 50-feet at its highest point and offers climbers an excellent mental and physical workout

Academic Quarter Climbing Wall Hours


Spring Climbing Wall Hours will take place between March 31st - June 12th.

Sunday: 12pm - 8pm 12pm-3pm 12pm-3pm
Monday-Friday: 6am - 10pm 3-5pm & 6-9pm N/A
Saturday: 12pm - 8pm 12pm - 3pm 12pm - 3pm

  • Ropeless Rodeo - NC3 Bouldering Competition

    Ropeless Rodeo is back for the CWU Climbing Wall's annual bouldering competition. This fun event is available to all experience levels, from beginners to the advanced, and will be a great opportunity to meet fellow climbers from the PNW participating in the NC3 - Northwest Collegiate Climbing Circuit.

    This event is hosted by University Recreation & Adventure Programs. It will be hosted on January 25, 2024. It will be $45 to compete and sign ups open on January 6, 2025. Register at the Recreation Center Front desk.
