Explore New Heights with Community Youth Climbing Programs
These programs offer a supportive environment for children to explore the world of rock climbing.
Led by experienced instructors, participants learn essential climbing techniques, build strength, and cultivate teamwork skills. Through engaging activities and challenges, these programs provide a foundation for a lifelong love of climbing and outdoor adventure. Whether your child is a beginner or has some climbing experience, our Community Youth Climbing Programs offer a thrilling opportunity for them to conquer challenges, boost confidence, and make lasting memories.
Youth Climbing Hours
Cost: $3 for children
Youth Climbing Hours is an open time for kids to come explore the wall and climb. Staff can provide equipment and belaying and parents are encouraged to climb as well. Youth Climbing Hours coincide with Family Hours in the facility.
Staff will belay the children, unless parents have passed the CWU Climbing Wall Belay Test.
Open Youth Climbing Hours
Parents must be present while their children climb. Please visit the Family Policy & Family Hours section of our website for information on age requirements and expectations during Family Hours within the Recreation Center. *For the summer there is no family hours or family climb.
