From the state-of-the-art Recreation Center to Alder Recreation Complex, the Recreation Sports Complex, and Lister Tennis Facility, CWU Recreation has everything you need to move, play, and thrive.

    Academic Hours:

    Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 10:00pm

    Saturday - Sunday: 12:00pm-8:00pm

     

    Winter Quarter Closures/Change of Hours:

    MLK JR. Day Holiday Weekend

    January 16: 6am-6pm

    January 17-18: 12-6pm

    January 19: 12-10pm (MLK Jr. Day)

     

     

    Presidents' Day Holiday Weekend

    February 13: 6am-6pm

    Saturday, February 14-15: 12-6pm

    February 16: 12-10pm (Presidents' Day)

     

    Finals Week & Spring Break

    March 15: 12-8pm

    March 16: 6am-10pm (Study Day)

    March 17-19: 6am-10pm (Final Exams)

    March 20: 6am-6pm (Final Exams)

    March 20-21: Closed

    March 23-26: 6am-6pm (Spring Break)

    March 27: 6am-10pm (Spring Break)

    Step into the CWU Recreation Center—80,000 sq. ft. of fitness, fun, and movement! Climb our 50-foot wall with bouldering arches, hit the strength and cardio zones, jog the elevated 1/8-mile track, or play in the four-court gym. With group exercise studios and locker rooms featuring showers and saunas, it’s everything you need to stay active and thrive.

  • Alder Recreation Complex

    Alder Recreation Complex features three full-size, natural grass fields designed for multi-use activities. The fields are open seasonally and available for reservations.

  • Recreation Sports Complex

    The Recreation Sports Complex (RSC) is the ultimate spot for athletics and events! Opened in 2018, it features a fully lit turf infield, NCAA competition track, grandstands for 600, a throwing venue, and more. Available by reservation, it’s perfect for competitions, tournaments, and special events.

  • Lister Tennis Facility

    The Lister Tennis Facility is open for the season and welcomes players to enjoy the courts.

    Policies:
    1. Courts are for tennis play only
    2. Marking of the ground with paint, tape, chalk, or similar products is prohibited
    3. No Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, or in-line skates
    4. No pets, glass, alcohol, gum, tobacco products, or chairs on courts
    5. Proper footwear required
    6. Limit play to 2 sets or 1 hour if others are waiting
    7. Abuse of net and/or equipment is prohibited
    8. Users are encouraged to bring their own water/beverage in a sealed container
    Lighting Controls
    • Court lights are on demand from 6 am - 10 pm.
    • Lights activate via push button for each set of courts
    • Court lights stay on for 1 hour at a time
    • Amber lights above gate turns on when 1 hour time is about to expire
    • Button can be pushed again for a additional 1 hour of Light

  • Climbing Wall

    Inside the CWU Recreation Center, the climbing wall rises 50 feet at its highest point, providing climbers with a challenging and rewarding mental and physical workout.
