There are several program options to choose from, including study abroad, interning abroad, service learning, to name a few. Explore the options below to find the program right for you.

Gain general insight into a variety of program choices, financial aid opportunities, scholarships, academic credit, and more. For individual advising appointments, choose one of the Meet with an Advisor options below.

Meet with an Advisor

Before you meet with an Education Abroad advisor, make sure to attend an information session. Afterward, book an appointment with an education abroad advisor. IMPORTANT: If you plan to study in Australia, France, Japan, South Korea, or the United Kingdom (Scotland) meet with Steve to discuss CWU exchange and direct-enrollment programs.

After you've attended an information session and met with an Education Abroad advisor, you can begin your CWU application.
  • Exchange & Partnership Programs

    CWU maintains partnerships with several institutions abroad. Exchange programs are culturally immersive experiences. Students interested in studying in Australia, France, Japan, South Korea, United Kingdom, should explore these programs first.

     

    How to Apply:

    1. Go to cwu.via-trm.com 
    2. Click Go to Portal button
    3. Sign in using your CWU SSO
    4. Click Explore Programs 
    5. Either (A) use the filters to explore options, or (B) in Program Search box, type the name of your program 
    6. Select the program 
    7. Click Apply button

  • Faculty-Directed Programs

    How to Apply:

    1. Go to cwu.via-trm.com 
    2. Click Go to Portal button
    3. Sign in using your CWU SSO
    4. Click Explore Programs 
    5. Either (A) use the filters to explore options, or (B) in Program Search box, type the name of your program 
    6. Select the program 
    7. Click Apply button

  • Outside Study Abroad Programs (Non-CWU)

    If students cannot find CWU-sponsored programs that suit them, third-party programs are another option.

    5. Either (A) use the filters to explore options, or (B) in Program Search box, type the name of your program

  • Experiential Learning Programs (Intern Abroad, Research)

    Learn by doing. Participate in hands-on experiences, such as internships abroad, research, service learning and volunteer opportunities.
