Experiential Learning

International internships and service learning enable students to earn credits related to their academic department, while gaining real-world, professional experience with an intercultural perspective. This option is ideal for students in their junior and senior years. Internship and service learning programs are available during the academic year and summer, and include short-term opportunities (typically 6- to 12-weeks), as well as semester and year-long options. Many internship options, through affiliated providers and other organizations (listed below), are customizable, based on your academic or professional needs, and most are in English.

You can also earn a TESL (Teaching English As A Second Language) certificate abroad. TESL certified teachers are in high demand worldwide, from Spain to South Korea, Mexico to Morocco, and everywhere inbetween. Teach in public and private language schools, work with children and adults, beginners to advanced learners - the opportunities for English teachers are diverse and plentiful!
