Washington Administrative Code
The state legislature governs the CiHS programs in Washington State. Complete legislative language included: WAC 392-725 index.
Within the WAC, (WAC 392-725-200) Confirmation of High School Credit (PDF) governs the student's dual credit transcription and acceptance at colleges.

Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
FERPA is a federal law governing access to student education records. CWU accords all the rights provided by the law, following release of information, student review, and access stipulations.
The National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP)
NACEP is the accrediting body that works to ensure that CiHS courses are as rigorous as those offered at college, adhering to the highest standards. More about NACEP.
CWU CiHS achieved full accreditation in June, 2022, meeting the standards set forth in the NACEP Accreditation Guide.

Council of Presidents (COP)
The Council of Presidents is the association of Washington State's six public four-year universities. The COP created a Dual Credit Tool to help better inform stakeholders such as parents and students about different dual credit options in the state of Washington.
