Student Clubs Supported by Physics


The Physics Department sponsors several award-winning student clubs. To get involved, email physics@cwu.edu or reach out to the faculty advisor for more details.
  • Astronomy Club

    The CWU Astronomy Club welcomes anyone with an interest in astronomy or space-related topics, offering opportunities to use our telescopes and planetarium, engage in outreach, and contribute to the broader national astronomy community.

  • Society of Physics Students (SPS)

    Central Washington’s chapter of the national SPS organization hosts science presentations, conducts community outreach, and raises funds to send members to conferences.

  • Wildcat Rocketry Club

    The Wildcat Rocketry Club offers hands-on experience with high-powered rocketry and the chance to compete in national rocketry competitions.

  • Biophysics Club

    The Biophysics Club welcomes students interested in physics, biology, and math, providing opportunities to engage with guest speakers, discuss current research, explore careers, participate in outreach, and take off-campus field trips.
