Apply to the Environmental Studies Program

The CWU Environmental Studies Program offers both a B.S. in Environmental Sciences major and an Environmental Studies minor. See below for the specializations offered within the major.

Please apply for the Environmental Studies Major or Minor through the MyCWU Portal, following these "How to Declare or Drop a Major or Minor" instructions.

Environmental Studies Minor Program Codes:

The Program Code to use when applying to the Environmental Studies Minor is [ENVSTMIN]. The Sustainability Minor will be available in the 2023-2024 academic year. Check back here for the Sustainability Minor Program Code once it becomes live.

Your request will be sent to the Environmental Studies Program, and an advisor and faculty mentor will be assigned to you based on the specialization you request. A welcome letter will be sent to your @cwu.edu email with details on your next steps.
