Reserving a Recording Studio
Samuelson Hall 127b,127c,127d,127e
The MEC recording studios are designed for professional recording. The studios feature sound dampening panels and are set up for recording presentations, podcasts, and videos. Each studio is equipped with: desktop computer with Adobe Suite, Yeti USB microphone, wall-mounted video camera, Wacom drawing tablet CWU mountains backdrop.
Reservations are required and guides on how to do so are found below. Rooms are available only during hours of operation. We ask you reserve the room at least 48 in advance of use to ensure access:

How to reserve a MEC recording studio
- Login to your CWU Outlook on your browser and click the calendar icon in the lower left corner
- Select 'New Event' in the upper left corner
- Add your name and the date/time you would like to reserve/
- Choose a room to reserve. For students, the recording studios are Samuelson 127B - E. Samuelson 122 and 123 are typically reserved for faculty only.
- Choose Scheduling Assistant to see if room is available at the time requested. If it's already booked, choose another date.
- If you need assistance in orienting and using the room, please include nat.nickel@cwu.edu to Required Attendee.
- A confirmation email will be sent to you once the MEC has accepted your reservation. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 3 business days of your request, we do not have a record of your reservation and you should contact our Media Technician via email or by calling 509-963-1258.
