About the Wildcat Farm
Wildcat Farm’s mission is to provide fresh, organic, locally-grown produce to Dining Services and the community. We foster sustainability, equity, and belonging through our outdoor classroom, where students engage with the land and make real-world connections. By building community partnerships, we create opportunities for all students to feel a sense of belonging on campus and beyond.
Looking to Visit the Farm?
We are located at the corner of North Alder Street and East 14th Avenue, across from Wendell Hill Residence Hall and North Village Apartments.
Free parking is available on East 14th Avenue alongside the Palouse to Cascades Trail, and parking on both sides of North Alder Street is free. Please note that the Farm entrance across the trail is restricted for university vehicles only.

Volunteer with the FarmThe Farm and Dining Services
The Wildcat Farm is an important part of CWU's approach to creating a more sustainable and resilient campus food system. Located just a half-mile from Dining Services, the farm grows fresh produce for campus dining connecting food grown on campus directly to the meals served to students.
Produce from the Farm is used primarily at the Fresh Bar, located in the Central Marketplace. The Farm works closely with Dining Services when planning each growing season to align production with campus needs and ensure that as much of the harvest as possible is utilized. Any produce not used by Dining Services is distributed through our CSA program or donated to the Wildcat Pantry and local food banks.
CWU is also working toward expanding composting at the Wildcat Farm to help close the loop on our campus food system. The composting program would create an opportunity to return food scraps and other organic materials from campus back to the Farm, where they can become a resource for growing future crops. As part of this effort, you may notice new composting information and collection bins around the SURC as we work to build this connection between what we grow, what we eat, and what we return to the soil.
