Bike2Campus Day 2023

Description: Bike to Work Day is an annual event that promotes the bicycle as an option for commuting to work. Here at CWU, we celebrate Bike to Campus Day. Hop on your bike and ride to campus for class or work.

Getting around Ellensburg:

Central Transit - a fare-free, 7-day-a-week (except holidays) public transit service provided by the City of Ellensburg, with support from Central Washington University and HopeSource. All buses feature wheelchair accessibility and bicycle racks.

CWU Ellensburg now has several options for regional transportation:

  • Flixbus - the Flixbus stops on E 10th Ave, directly north of the Starbucks, and has routes to Spokane, Snoqualmie Pass, Seattle, and Tacoma.
  • Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter - This traditional commuter bus travels from Yakima to Ellensburg several times a day and stops at Safeway near CWU.
  • Greyhound - Bus routes to several cities from Love's truck stop in Ellensburg (approximately 3 miles from CWU).
  • Bellair Airporter - This small bus travels from Yakima to SeaTac daily and picks up at Starbucks on E 10th Ave.
