STARRSA Active Psychoeducation

The Science-based Treatment, Accountability, and Risk Reduction for Sexual Assault (STARRSA) Active Psychoeducation (AP) program is designed to address sexual harm in a college student population. The STARRSA AP program:

  • Identifies knowledge gaps related to risk factors for sexual harm/misconduct
  • Assists in developing beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that promote healthy, consensual, and safe intimate relationships and sexual behavior
  • Educates those who may be interested in learning more about promoting healthy relationships

The STARRSA Active Psychoeducation (AP) Program is an empirically based intervention developed specifically to be utilized with college students found responsible for engaging in sexual misconduct OR college students interested in learning more about promoting healthy, consensual, & wellness-focused relationships.

  • What do students say about STARRSA?

“STARRSA has had a profound impact on my life. While it was incredibly daunting, and in a way, extremely terrifying to start, conquering that fear and starting the program was the best possible thing that could've happened to me at that point in my life. I've learned so much about communication, thoughts, feelings, and about myself. …Even though my time in the program is over, the lessons I learned are some that I will carry with me wherever I go for the rest of my life, and will continue to help me grow in more ways than I could ever imagine.”
