It is the policy of CWU to provide individuals with disabilities, that require the use of a service animal or ESA, equal opportunity to access University property, courses, programs, and activities. ESA are only allowed in University Housing and only as an exception to standard policy.

See CWU 402-03 Service and Emotional Support Animals as Reasonable Accommodations for more information.

  • This policy complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 as amended; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (P.L. 93-11) and 45 CFR Part 84; Fair Housing Act of 1968 42 U.S.C. 3601 et seq.; Chapter 49.60 RCW; and WAC 106-124-801.
