After you find the program that best fits your academic goals, the next step is to figure out if CWU has the program in a location and modality best suited for your needs. An endorsement is the subject you get certified in after completing your program at CWU. Below are several tables outlining the endorsement offerings at CWU or visit the Endorsement Programs webpage with the Teacher Certification Program for links to each department.
Candidates for an inital Residency Teaching Certificate must also meet the Teacher Certification Program requirements for Admission and Certification.
Offerings by Location
CWU offers a diversity of pathways to becoming a teacher. All of our programs are available to students at our main campus in Ellensburg, WA, but we also offer online options and our most popular programs at our campuses in Des Moines, Pierce, Moses Lake, Wenatchee, and Yakima, WA. These CWU “Centers” programs are specially designed in collaboration with community colleges to provide pathways to teaching for working professionals.

| Additional Education Programs | Description |
| Master of Arts in Teaching | Earn your initial teaching certificate in up to two endorsements and a master's degree all in one program. |
| School Administration | Earn your administration certificate in either School Principal or Special Programs Director. |
| School Psychology | Earn your ESA certificate in school psychology. |
| CTE Plan 2 Business and Industry Route | If you have three or more years of private sector industry experience and have decided teaching is for you, this program will help you get CTE certified in specific subjects. |
| Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction | If you are already a certified teacher and looking to further your education and earn a master's degree this program is for professional development. |
