  • School Principal: Upon graduation, you can pursue a career as a school principal or assistant principal. You would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a school, managing staff, fostering a positive school culture, and promoting academic success.
  • District Administrator: Graduates may choose to work in district-level administrative positions. You would oversee multiple schools within a district, setting educational policies and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective educational practices across the district.
  • Education Program Director: An Education Program Director is responsible for managing and developing specific educational programs, such as special education programs, literacy initiatives, or curriculum development projects.

CWU’s School of Education is one of the oldest in the state of Washington, having been founded in 1891. Offering teacher education programs at Central’s Ellensburg, Yakima, Wenatchee, Pierce, and Des Moines campuses, CWU prepares teachers in more than thirty content areas, from preschool to high school.
