Service Opportunities
Student Leadership, Involvement, & Community Engagement (SLICE) has a variety of opportunities to serve our community. CWU students can make a difference on campus and beyond simply by volunteering their time. Student organizations can also get involved in any of these service experiences. You and your members can either sign up individually or reach out to slice@cwu.edu for more information on securing space for your members!

Repair Fair Skill Volunteering
Wednesday, April 22nd
Volunteer shifts available between 11:00am – 3:00pm
SURC Patio EastHave a knack for fixing things? Volunteer at CWU Sustainability’s Repair Fair and show off your skills while helping students, staff, and community members how to repair their broken items. American Red Cross Blood Drive
Wednesday, April 29th
Volunteer shifts available between 8:30am and 4:30pm
Donation appointments from 10am to 3:00pm
Located in SURC 137Five million patients need blood every day, and you could save three of them with just one donation! Can’t donate? Help by volunteering your time to ensure this event runs successfully! There are a variety of volunteer tasks and shifts available, and volunteers will not take or come in contact with any blood.

As a volunteer, you also become a member of APOYO. You can help serve the community, practice your Spanish, and receive access to resources. - Log into your CWU Engage account through the Suitable app on your phone or computer.
- Visit the SLICE Office on the 2nd floor of the SURC in suite 250.
- Sign up for volunteer events listed under the Current Volunteer Opportunities and Events section of this webpage below.

Can I submit service experiences that I have completed at CWU or off-campus?
Absolutely! Many students complete service experiences and volunteer hours off campus, during breaks in their hometowns, or right here at CWU. You can apply to have your service experience(s) added to your CWU profile! You can submit each experience through our "Community Service / Volunteer Submission Form" within CWU Engage. If you don't have the app on your phone we recommend downloading it and logging in to ensure your service hours are correctly added to your account.
