  • On Campus
    Wellington’s Wildfire
    Thursday, October 8th
    7:00-9:00pm
    Challenge Course: 1300E 18th Ave.
     
    What better way to end the day than to gather around a bonfire, and enjoy free food, music, and outdoor games?  We invite all CWU students to come together for this beloved Homecoming tradition.  Want to volunteer to help this event run smoothly?  Follow this link to learn more and sign-up!

     

    First Peoples' Art Market
    Monday, October 12th
    11:00am-3:00pm
    SURC 137 and Corridor

    Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day and highlight some of our gifted and talented regional Native artists — enjoy a rare opportunity to purchase unique, handmade items directly from the artists themselves.  Students interested in volunteering to support the artist with event set up and take down, follow this link to learn more and sign-up!

     

    American Red Cross Blood Drive
    Wednesday, October 28th
    Volunteer shifts available between 8:30am and 4:30pm
    Donation appointments from 10am to 3:00pm
    Located in SURC 137

    Five million patients need blood every day, and you could save three of them with just one donation! Can’t donate?  Help by volunteering your time to ensure this event runs successfully! There are a variety of volunteer tasks and shifts available, and volunteers will not take or come in contact with any blood.  Volunteers, please follow this link to sign-up!  Donors, please follow this link to sign-up!

     

    Wildcat Farm Gather and Grow Volunteer Days
    Tuesdays
    2:00-4:00pm

    Gather and Grow Events are special volunteer led efforts that are centered around a specific project on the farm. These events are open to students and the community and are wonderful opportunities to get some hands on experience with a broad variety of produce. No experience or signup necessary.  All tools will be provided, just show up during the work time above.  Follow this link to learn more!

    Allied People Offering Year-Round Outreach (APOYO)
    Multiple Shifts and Opportunities Available 
    Location: 1320 E 18th Ave, Ellensburg, WA 98926

    Volunteers are the heart of APOYO’s work, and positively change the lives of those they serve.  As a volunteer, you also become a member of APOYO. You can help serve the community, practice your Spanish, and receive access to resources.  Activities include helping with food distribution, the community clothing closet, and with the community gardens! To volunteer with APOYO, follow this link!

    Fall Downtown Clean Up

    The Ellensburg Downtown Association invites CWU students to participate in their annual Fall Downtown Clean Up. This volunteer-powered event brings neighbors together to spruce up sidewalks, alleys, benches, landscaping, and shared public spaces in preparation for the busy spring and summer seasons.     Kittitas County League of Women Voters
    Multiple Shifts and Opportunities Available 
    Location: CWU Campus and Local High Schools

    Help make voting part of campus life.  Join a student-led nonpartisan team to help your friends and classmates register to vote or update their ballot address, find reliable nonpartisan election information, and figure out where, when, and how to vote.  Make change happen!  Your vote, your voice!  Follow this link  to learn more and sign up.

    Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust
    Multiple Shifts and Opportunities Available 
    Location: Throughout Washington State

    The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust is hosting several different events throughout the summer, from tree planting to interpretive events, hiking, biking, and floating — there’s something for everyone!     Olmstead Place Historical State Park
    Saturday October 17th at 10:00am
    Location: Ferguson Rd Ellensburg, WA 98926

    Help Olmstead State Park and Museum put the garden to bed for winter. It’s been a great growing season, but now it’s time to prep for the cold months ahead.  No registration required and parking for volunteers is free.
