Recovery for Wildcats
CWU's Collegiate Recovery Community is a place to gather and feel supported. Anyone impacted by substance misuse or addiction is invited. Hosted in the Office of Health Promotion, the community engages in events, support groups, individual supportive consultation, and so much more!
Central Washington University is a proud member of the 2026 Washington State Collegiate Recovery Support Initiative! Through this initiative, outfitted a Student Wellbeing and Recovery Lounge, we've hired 4 total Peer Recovery Coaches, put on 5 signature events, and distributed Collegiate Recovery Community Scholarships to 26 students.
Did you know that we offer Peer Recovery Coaching?
Our Peer Recovery Coaches offer a private and individualized way to identify your goals, and create strategies for accomplishing them!
This program is free for all CWU students! Email RecoveryCommunity@cwu.edu or visit the Office of Health Promotion in SURC 256 to schedule your first meeting!

CWU Recovery Groups
CWU based Recovery Groups:
All Recovery means you can join if you’ve experienced substance misuse, addiction, are in recovery or have been impacted by someone’s recovery.
We'll share the struggles of recovery and how we overcome them, while enjoying coffee, tea, and cookies in a safe space with like-minded people. Bring a smile, come with an open mind, and lean in as you help other peers on their recovery journey!
We offer 2 groups! In person groups at held in SURC 256 on Thursdays from 3pm to 4pm.
Virtual groups are held on Fridays at 7pm on Teams, Email Recovery.Community@cwu.edu for link information.
