Congratulations on your admission to CWU Online — you’re about to join a supportive, connected community of learners across Washington State and beyond. Here’s what to do next:
Step 1: Confirm Your Admission
- Set up your MyCWU account to access your student portal.
- Use your CWU username (check your email from the CWU Service Desk).
Submit Final Transcripts (if necessary): If you’re finishing high school or college courses, send your final transcripts to CWU to avoid registration delays.
Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Complete your FAFSA or WASFA. There’s no fee and no deadline.
- Log in to your MyCWU portal to find Scholarship Central and other funding opportunities.

Step 3: Complete Online Orientation and Advising
Online students do not participate in the same orientation sessions as in-person Ellensburg and University Center students do. Learn more about Online Orientation.
- Meet with your advisor to register for classes.
- Learn how to access your courses through Canvas, our online learning platform.
Online Learning Resources
- Tutoring: Online Tutoring is available for free for all CWU students. Find out more information about Online Tutoring.
- Textbooks: Order textbooks online from the CWU University Bookstore (use your financial aid!) or third-party vendors.
