CWU Programs

  • Todos Somos Familia

    A Spanish language orientation during each Admitted Student Day for Spanish-speaking support networks. With the dedication of the Todos Somos Familia committee (made of campus partners), support networks receive valuable information about what to expect for their student at CWU

  • Douglas Honors College

    The William O. Douglas Honors College (DHC), is a four-year course of study for undergraduate and transfer students at Central Washington University (CWU).

    The DHC complements all majors, and the curriculum offers passionate students an opportunity to navigate through CWU surrounded by other engaged students.

    The William O. Douglas Honors College offers unique courses not found anywhere else on campus, a partial, yearly tuition waiver, and the opportunity to live in the DHC Living/Learning Community.

  • CWU Alumni Association

    Engaging and connecting alumni with students and the Wildcat family, through networking opportunities, mentorships, giving, and so much more is what we strive for.

    The Wildcat Family Network is designed to create a community network for CWU family members. They offer support, ideas, resources, news and information to families as they enter into the new stage of "college life". Supporters of CWU students are invited to join and get access to an array of events, benefits, information and resources.

  • CWU Family Weekend

    A three-day weekend full of events for our students and their families. Held annually in the Fall, it's guaranteed to be a good time for the entire family. For more information, visit the CWU Student Union website

  • CWU Family Resource Center

    The Family Resource Center is part of the Family and Child Life program and Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Central Washington University.

    Their mission is to improve the lives of families in the University and broader Kittitas County community by providing programming to support families, coordinating family-related research, and providing civic engagement opportunities for students.

  • CWU Diversity & Equity Center

    The Diversity & Equity Center is committed to be student-centered, pursuing justice and equity through fostering relationships on campus and throughout the community at large. We believe that embracing your identity- which may include age, disability status, physical appearance, gender identity and expression, race, sexual orientation, language, ethnicity, nationality, religion, and socioeconomic status - will enrich and enhance your experience here at Central Washington University and in life.

  • Disability Services

    Disability Services serves students with permanent and temporary disabilities attending Central on the Ellensburg campus, online or at any of our eight University Centers. Our mission is to make university life accessible to students with disabilities.

    • We work individually with students identifying barriers, and providing accommodations to ensure equal access.
    • We educate the campus about the needs of students with disabilities.
    • We are a resource for the campus community on disability related topics.

    Disability Services is a part of the Health and Wellness team within the Division of Student Success.

    Central Washington Disability Resources

    Central Washington Disability Resources advances the empowerment, inclusion, and wellness of all persons with disabilities through advocacy, community education, peer mentoring, and skill development so that they may realize independence and full participation in all areas of life.
