Sport Event and Gameday Operation Specialization


In partnership with the CWU Hospitality, Tourism & Events program, we are excited to offer the specialization in Sport Event & Gameday Operation, one of six options for completing requirements for the Sport Management major. Students who choose to specialize in Sport Event & Gameday Operations typically enter the sport industry in positions within sport organizations that focus on the planning, execution and management of sport events and gameday experiences. These roles often involve responsibilities such as event logistics, crowd management, venue operations, facility operations, mega event management, gameday promotions, ticket operations and fan engagement. Graduates with this specialization may work for professional sport organizations, intercollegiate athletic departments, event management organizations or sport facilities. Additionally, they may find opportunities in sports marketing agencies, where they can apply their expertise in event operations to promote and organize sports-related events and activations.
