Science Talent Expansion Program
What is STEP?
The Science Talent Expansion Program (STEP) is for any student interested in majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics at Central Washington University.
STEP builds a foundation in scientific research and writing to launch students on second-year research, teaching, or engineering experience:
- Gain valuable scientific skills
- Participate in faculty-mentored research and teaching experiences
- Build a foundation for your STEM major with ongoing academic and social support
- Take specially designed courses for the STEP cohort
- Contribute to a like-minded community
- Live in the STEP Living Learning Community (optional)
