Welcome to the Army ROTC
Build relationships with fellow students and military personnel while training to become a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
In this program, you’ll learn leadership theory and the importance of teamwork as you prepare you for diverse Army careers. Explore exciting roles, specialized training, and unique opportunities through Army ROTC at Central Washington University. ROTC graduates can join the Army Reserves, National Guard, or Active Duty. Freshman and sophomore level classes are available to all students without any commitment.

Army ROTC offers a Military Science Minor. Our Military Science Minor is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of military science, leadership, and strategy.

Invest In Your Future
The Army ROTC offers scholarships up to $50,000 based on academic and extracurricular achievements, even without financial aid. Join with or without a scholarship and prepare for diverse military careers through specialized training and unique opportunities at CWU.
Scholarships
- Post High School Scholarships: High School students can begin college on full scholarship.
- On-Campus Scholarships: Current CWU students can compete for 2 or 3-year scholarships.
- Simultaneous Membership Program: Join the National Guard while remaining a full-time student with a full scholarship.
- Non-Scholarship Contract: Complete the entire program without scholarship and receive a reduced service commitment.
