GrantForward (funding search engine)
GrantForward (see overview video) is a search engine dedicated to helping CWU personnel find grants to fund their research or programmatic interests.
- GrantForward uses specialized data-crawling technology to constantly update its extensive database of sponsors and funding opportunities, allowing thousands of grant opportunities to be gathered from over 50,000 sponsors. Every grant opportunity is thoroughly analyzed and then verified by a team of specialists to ensure accuracy.
- GrantForward's search algorithm and adaptive search filters prevent you from wasting time sifting through grants that aren’t relevant to your research.
- GrantForward allows you to do more than just search for grants. With a profile, you can receive grant recommendations related to your interests. GrantForward uses your interests, publications, and other profile information to recommend the best-fitting grant opportunities to you. See below for setting up your profile for automated grant recommendations.

Access GrantForward
SSO Login using institutional account information.
If you do not already have a GrantForward account, after being authenticated via SSO, a new GrantForward account associated with your institutional email address will be automatically created and you will be redirected to the GrantForward website.
If you have an existing GrantForward account, after entering your email address in the login box (top right corner) on the GrantForward website, you will see an option to sign in via SSO (you do not need to enter your previously set up password). You can use GrantForward with your existing account after being authenticated. -
Automated Grant Recommendation Service
If you would like to benefit from the automated grant recommendation service, please complete the profile intake form. Once RSP receives your form, the data will then be uploaded into your GrantForward profile. The system will then start sending you automated monthly grant recommendations based on the information in your profile. Grant recommendation and profile settings can be modified at any time.
