KVMC Elementary Program: 2nd-6th Grade Students


2nd-6th Grade Kittitas Valley Math Circle will begin the face-to-face program in January 2023. 

 

2021-2022 2nd-6th Grade Kittitas Valley Math Circle program:

  • Winter 2023: Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, Feb 28, and Mar 7. TOPIC: Mathematical Games and Problem-Solving
    Spring 2023: Apr 11, Apr 18, Apr 25, May 2. TOPIC: Mathematics Outside and Math Patterns
  • KVMC Math Festival:  May 9 

During the Math Circle sessions, the students will meet weekly on Tuesdays (6:30-7:30pm) at the Samuelson Building on Central Washington's campus. Google Maps. Location to the building.  Note, parking on campus is free after 4:30 pm and we would advise you to park in the O-5 lot, across the street from the Science Building (at the intersection of Wildcat Way and 14th Ave).  If you are in a handicapped marked vehicle you can park in the marked spots close to Samuelson.

Weather Cancellation Policy

The policy will be that Math Circle will be canceled if the local schools have a late start that day, cancel after-school activities, or if there is a published weather warning for the region.

This project was partially supported by the MAA Tensor grant, the CESME Faculty Program of Central Washington University, and the National Association of Math Circles Math Circle Mentorship Grant program.
