This specialization develops leaders ready to meet the administrative needs of any organization by combining technical knowledge with skills in leadership and supervision, effective business practices, project management, and communication. Administrative management majors become skilled problem-solvers and innovators, adapting to the changing needs of a modern enterprise. The need for graduates with these skills crosses all types of business including agriculture, construction, finance, retail, government, manufacturing, and not-for-profits.

In addition to completing the IT Management core courses and meeting all university graduation requirements, students must complete the following courses for the administrative management specialization. 

  • ADMG 373: Training & Development - 4 credits
  • ADMG 383: Talent Management for IT & Admin Management - 4 credits
  • ADMG 424: Advanced Administrative Planning - 4 credits
  • ADMG 471: Leading Change - 4 credits
  • IT 202: Change Ready: Tech Skills for Leaders - 4 credits
  • IT 260: Integrated Computer Applications - 4 credits
  • IT 359: Advanced Spreadsheet Applications - 4 credits
