BAS-IT Management Degree


The Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology Management (BAS-IT) is designed for students who have already completed a two-year degree, such as an Associate of Applied Science (AAS), and are ready to advance their education and career opportunities. This degree builds on your technical background and adds essential business, leadership, and IT management skills. 

The program prepares students for supervisory and management roles in technology-driven environments. Courses focus on project management, cybersecurity, administrative systems, communication, and strategic planning. 

Do you qualify for the BAS-IT Management program? 

Students must meet the following requirements to be accepted into this program:

  • A completed applied or technical degree
  • At least 40 credits in an applied area
  • Be accepted and matriculated at CWU

Core Curriculum 

The BAS in Information Technology Management includes a set of core courses that provide a strong foundation in business operations, leadership, project management, and information technology. These courses are designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers by developing both technical and managerial skills. 

In addition to the core curriculum, students must fulfill all university degree requirements, including general education and total credit minimums, to complete their bachelor's degree. To better understand how courses will transfer to CWU, students can view the transfer credit policies and the transfer equivalency site (TES).

All students pursuing the BAS in IT Management are also required to choose a specialization. Specializations allow students to tailor their studies to align with their career goals and areas of interest. Options include:

    This option allows students to complete their degree entirely online, without the need to attend classes on campus.
