Field Experiences
Example Teaching Statements and Resumes
The Office of Field Experiences has collected sample teaching statements and resumes from former teacher candidates. All names and identifying information have been changed.
However, these samples were collected before we developed our Education Sample Resume in conjunction with principals and human resource directors from our partner districts, focused specifically on highlighting the information our partners are looking for in a quick, easy-to-read format. Our candidates have had good luck with this resume format, and principals have praised it.
So use these resume samples to spark ideas from candidates who came before you about powerful ways you might describe your own experience and skills. But we recommend you use the formatting in the Education Sample Resume. The Career Center will support you in using this same resume format if you wish to schedule a consultation with them. (Recommended!)
We encourage you to review our teaching statement and resume tips page for further information.
