Our District-University Partnerships
Strong partnerships are at the heart of the CWU MAT Teacher Residency Pathway. We collaborate with school districts throughout Washington to develop locally responsive pathways into the teaching profession.
Each partnership is shaped by the needs of the participating district, including local teacher shortages, endorsement areas, recruitment priorities, and available mentor teachers.
Through these partnerships, districts help identify promising future educators, select mentor teachers, and create meaningful classroom-based learning experiences that prepare residents to become effective teachers in their communities.
