Kittitas Audubon Society Scholarships
The mission of the Kittitas Audubon Society is to develop an appreciation of nature through education and conservation with a focus on birds.
Two $2500 scholarships can be awarded to support undergraduate students for tuition or graduate students for tuition/research expenses.

Step 1: Complete the General Scholarship Application Through Scholarship Central
Step 2: Complete the Supplemental Application Materials
Submit supplemental application materials directly to CWU Biological Sciences by emailing then to biology@cwu.edu. Call the Biology Office at 963-2731 with any questions.
Award Date:
Summer or Fall Quarter for tuition awards
Research funding awarded as described in grant proposal
Recipient Requirement:
Within one year of receiving the award the recipient will present the results of the Kittitas Audubon Society-funded research at CWU’s SOURCE Symposium and to the Kittitas Audubon Society Board or its general membership.
Eligibility:
All applicants will meet the following criteria:
Undergraduates
- Have declared as an undergraduate Bachelor of Science major in Biological Sciences or Environmental Studies with a focus on birds, the environment, and/or conservation
- Have junior or senior status by Fall Quarter in the year in which the scholarship is awarded
- Have been a full-time matriculated student at CWU for at least one academic year before receiving the scholarship
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Graduates
- Have been accepted into the graduate programs of Biological Sciences or Cultural and Environmental Resource Management with a focus on birds, the environment, and/or conservation.
- Have been enrolled as a full-time graduate student at CWU for at least two quarters before receiving the scholarship
Applicants Must Submit the Following:
- application form
- application essays
- ONE letter of recommendation from current CWU faculty research mentor. The letter writer should email the letter directly to the Dept. of Biological Sciences (biology@cwu.edu)
