FAQs About Student Evaluations of Instruction (SEOIs)
- CWU is using a vendor named EvaluationKIT to administer SEOIs online. EvaluationKIT has custom programmed a building block to work with CWU’s version of Canvas. Students can respond to SEOIs via links in Canvas or via links in emails that are sent to all students.
- Department staff will assign SEOI forms for each course section in their department.
- Faculty, Chairs, and Deans can collaborate to create up to 10 "custom questions."
- Students are contacted via e-mail at least one week before the end of the six or eight-week summer session. An announcement e-mail and up to two reminder e-mails may be sent based on participation or lack thereof. Access is obtained through a secure web link in the e-mail.
- Faculty, Chairs, and Deans will have access to results/reports within two weeks of when grades are due.
