Travel Stipend Application

The Faculty Travel stipend is awarded to faculty presenting research at domestic academic conferences on innovative teaching with technology. This can include online pedagogy, active learning, and distance education methods. A stipulation upon receiving this award is that the research is also presented at a Multimodal Learning Community (MLC) meeting, within the same academic year. 

  • Travel stipends will not be distributed retroactively.
  • Up to 2 awards per quarter granted up to $1000/each.
  • Awards are first come, first served.

  • On a rolling basis.

Review Process

Applications are reviewed on an ad hoc basis by the Executive Director of Multimodal Learning, Multimodal Learning Program Coordinator, and Multimodal Learning Faculty Fellow (rotating appointment).

  • Does Not Meet: 0
Directly benefits online or DE faculty development:
  • Exceeds: 5

  • Does Not Meet: 0
Fiscal Need Justification:

  • Does Not Meet: 0
Timely request - at least one month in advance:
