Certification Programs
Multimodal Learning offers faculty the opportunity to earn certification in online instruction and online instruction mentorship that may be used as evidence of professional development and teaching effectiveness for performance review (subject to Chair and Dean approval).
Master Online Teacher Certification (MOTC)
Faculty who wish to pursue certification will be asked to submit a letter of application outlining their intention to develop or revise an online course, the timeline for development, and a letter of support from their Chair identifying the quarter in which the course will be offered within the next academic year or summer session. Faculty who complete this certification will receive a $1500 stipend.
Master Online Mentor Certification (MOMC)
After completing the MOTC, faculty can apply for the Master Online Mentor Certification, which will provide them opportunities to mentor colleagues in online course development. Faculty who are accepted into the program and complete all of the following requirements for certification will receive a $2,500 stipend.
