Computer Vendors

There are five vendors that we typically use for computer purchases: Dell, Apple, Lenovo, US Micro, and CTL. For more information on which vendor may be most useful for you, press the + icon.
  • Dell PC Desktops & Laptops (Primary PC Vendor)


    Dell is the primary PC vendor due to its ease of management and the features it provides. 

    Standard Specifications

    • Intel Core Ultra 5 335 processor (or Core Ultra 235 for select models).
    • 16 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM), 2x8GB, 2800 MHz, DDR5.
    • 512 GB NVMe SSD

    Standard Upgrade Options:

    • Upgrade to 32 GB of RAM, 2x16 GB, 2800 MHz DDR5.
    • Upgrade to 1 TB NVMe

    Power User Specifications

    • Intel Core Ultra 7 365 Processor
    • 32 GB RAM (2x16 GB) 2800 MHz DDR5
    • 512 GB NVMe SSD or 1 TB NVMe SSD

  • Apple Mac Desktops & Laptops (Primary Vendor)

    Regarding Apple, Computer Support Services began ordering directly from Apple for institutional purposes in January 2026.

    Except in specific circumstances, all models from Apple's website for consumer purchase are available to be quoted. With the education pricing we receive as an institution, the quotes provided will be $100 less than models found on Apple's website.

    Note: At this time, we have not been able to internally verify the functionality and performance of MacBook Neos and therefore will not be available to quote.

  • Lenovo PC Desktops & PC Laptops
    Lenovo is an alternative PC vendor that is often used for its Lenovo Tiny models for digital signage and PC Laptops.

    Standard Specifications

    • Intel Core Ultra 5 335 processor (or Core Ultra 235T for select models).
    • 16 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM), 2x8GB, 2800 MHz, DDR5.
    • 512 GB NVMe SSD

    Note: Any deviation from these standards will require additional time for CSS to coordinate with Lenovo to have additional models available for quote. 

  • CTL & US Micro PC Desktops
    US Micro & CTL are often used for special machine configurations that allow the addition of consumer discrete GPUs, such as an Nvidia RTX 5070.

    • Upgrade to 32GB Memory 4x8 or 2x16 5600Mhz DDR5
    • Upgrade to Samsung 1Tb NVMe 980 EVO M.2 (US Micro only)
    • Additional 6' DVI to DisplayPort cable (one already included with all orders)
    • Logitech MK120 Wired Keyboard and Wired Mouse

    Power User Windows Computer:

    • Upgrade to 64Gb Memory 4x16Gb 5600Mhz DDR5

    • Add CD/DVD burner/player - LG SATA 24X DVD+/RW (GN24NSC0B)
    • OR Add Blu-Ray - LG Electronics 14x Internal BDL Blu-Ray Burner Rewriter WH16nS40
    • Add front expansion panel with 2x USB-C and 2x USB-A 3.2 ports
