Disability Access, Accommodations, and Complaints
Central Washington University (CWU) policy, the ADA, and Section 504, prohibit discrimination on the basis of a person’s status as a person with a disability, require equal opportunity and access, a process for a person with a disability to request a reasonable accommodation, and a grievance process for an individual to complain of discrimination.

Discrimination Complaints
Discrimination, including harassment and bullying, on the basis of a legally protected characteristic is illegal and prohibited. Inappropriate behavior based on a legally protected characteristic is unacceptable and may be cause for discipline even if it does not rise to the level of illegal discrimination.

From reporting to the University or law enforcement to utilizing confidential reporting options, Central Washington University (CWU) community members have different options to report sexual misconduct.

Reporting Complaints Externally
Discrimination complaints and sexual misconduct can also be filed with state or federal agencies, including the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). In these cases, the office of Civil Rights Compliance coordinates the University's response to the complaint.

Reporting Complaints or Concerns
Use the Concern and Support (reporting) form to report complaints or concerns regarding affirmative action, equal opportunity, and discrimination to the Director of Civil Rights Compliance.
